Which Park Would You Visit If Going For Just A Few Hours?

I have Monday off for Columbus Day, and so far I don't think Joe has anything going on. Sooooo....if that stands and I can whine enough make a good case that we should spend a few hours at WDW, I'm leaning towards MK.

I'm thinking there are more rides and attractions available without FPs (though I may have gotten FPs just in case....like HM, Buzz and BTMRR....maybe) and it's just a fun park to hang out at and walk around.

I think Epcot might be too busy and have too much walking, the F&W is not a big deal for us and outside Soarin' I wouldn't miss any other rides.

HS has such wonky parking right now, i couldn't get consecutive FPs for things I'd actually want to do, and we've spent A LOT of time at HS already this year.

Animal Kingdom might be too hot and like HS I can't really get consecutive FPs that I like.

Assuming about 4 hours of park time, late morning to early afternoon, where would you go? I also don't feel like park hopping. Food is not a factor.

I'd go to MK because it's my favourite park! I'd hit some rides, have lunch and then watch the parade before heading out ( I love the parades).

I just changed plans. I saw the latest Halloween Passholder pins just released and I really really think I want/need the vampire Mickey one (top left below, released Oct. 4). And so far I've only seen reports of it at HS. So I got a SDD FP for mid-morning. PS - I still have not run said plan by Joe eek

I was going to say MK, but that's a pretty cute pin.

I would pick Animal Kingdom (I'm late to the party and your decision has been made but here is my 2 cents)

I love the park. Take a nice stroll around the animal exhibits, grab a cocktail at Dawa, maybe catch FotLK, and Everest. Just take it all in!

Hahahaha! "Oh, did I forget to mention the grocery store was in Orlando?" eek laugh

JMed, that was the plan I had for AK- Everst, Lion King, jungle trek, maybe Rafikis on a mini mango pie!

I reminded myself that I suspect we will go one more time once the Christmas lights are up and that will be a MK day trip.

Welp, Joe's on board for an up and back trip tomorrow (Columbus Day)! yay

Here's the plan:

1. Leave by 9 am (but hoping for 8:45)
2. Get to HS by 10:30 am (traffic on I4 is a big unknown. Holiday, but kids still have school. A good drive takes an hour and a half and a bad one takes 2)
3. Check the 5 & 10 store for the Vampire Mickey Passholder pin*
4. Slinky Dog FP 9:55 - 10:55
5. Star Tours FP 10:55 - 11:55
6. Rock n Roller Coaster FP 12:15 - 1:15
7. Grab a Joffrey's Frozen Cappuccino and head home no later than 1 pm.

* If they don't have the pin at HS we walk or take the boat to Epcot/Mousegears in lieu of riding Star Tours. If we have time do Rock N Roller Coaster and then head out.

It's possible but everything has to go pretty right! Slinky Dog is notably at risk if we don't leave until 9 and run into a hint of bad traffic. If it happens if happens and if not oh well, next time! I was pleased that I was able to get what I got so close together with just a few days advance planning.

Wish us luck! crossfingers awesome
