Whirlwind Disney Trip: What if you only had two days and a nite for your stay?

Cdub posed an interesting question of what you would choose between 4 nites in Pop vs 2 nites in CSR vs 1 nite at the Contempo. It got me thinking...how would you prioritize if you only could make the trip and stay for 1 nite and two days (don't factor in having to travel from great distances...I know that our friends abroad and across country would never come for that short a period. Just wondered how you would spend 48 hours if that's all the time you had for a trip.)

What are your must haves and must dos? Are you eating your self silly? Or skipping all the sit down meals for as much ride time as possible? Where would you stay-opting for fancy for fewer days, or super cheap because you'd never be in the room? Skip DTD altogether? GO!

If I only had 48 hours.... hmmmmmm..... Id probably only hit Epcot and Hollywood Studio's for parks. Stay at AKL. Hmmm.... food wise. Ill probably have dinner @ Epcot. The Japanese place... cant remember the name. Where they cook the food in front of ya. This is a tough one... lol

Cosmic Rays and Wetzels Pretzels and Mickey Ice Cream Bars hit all my major food groups and don't suck up my time for key rides and fun at HS, Epcot and MK (1/2 days at each). I'd probably hit DTD for World of Disney, Ghirardelli's and the Christmas Shop.

Probably stay at the Beach Club for easy access to Epcot and HS so we don't waste too much time on transportation! And hey, Beaches and Cream for a Sundae for energy! Haha.

OOoo, now I want to go test this!! mickey

Oh gosh..we've actually done only two days in the parks (but 3 nights) before...I'd start off at Epcot & eat my way around the world. Then I'd boat it over to MGM for the evening and ride til my hearts content. The next day would be all Magic Kingdom all the time. I'd close the place down..then go back to the hotel and sleep as late as possible!

I wonder how many rides it would be possible to do in 2 days. I'd have a dam good try at setting a record.

Haha, LIKE. This would definitely be my attitude towards it too. I know it's incredibly naughty, but once in Disneyland Paris my boyfriend spotted an unattended stack of those blank fastpasses and swiped a bunch off the top - that would be so useful in a situation like this!

I think I would am to do as many of the 'big' rides as I could (no need to list them on this forum!), philharmagic because I just have to (although I may have to limit it to just one showing instead of 5 or 6), Wishes and Festival of the Lion King. If it came down to it and I had to cut a park I would skip Epcot. To be honest, food would not be high up on the list; I would definitely eat on-the-run as I race from ride to ride.

I'm so glad my next trip is for 2 weeks - I could not do this 2 days malarky!

Great answers! I think it's interesting, the decisions you have made. Nothing will pry Mase out of AKL it seems! And NOTHING will prohibit JeffC from going to DTD. Tony - that's awesome. Bella - I love how you still call it MGM because I do, too. And Peg...wow, that would be superduper handy. I envision you running ride to ride, falafel in hand!

Interesting on which parks are must do and skips...anyone else? Forced to make them, what are your absolute, must do priorities in the 'World?

I would stay at the Polynesian. I would spend the first day in the Magic Kingdom with dinner at the California Grill. The second day would probably be spent in the Magic Kingdom as well.

Has everyone seen the ultimate touring plan from touringplans.com?

If I had limited time, it might be fun to try one of these and see how fast you can get to everything!

eek I LOVE Animal Kingdom - it may be my favourite park! Hm. Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom. It's a tough one! I'm sure most people will disagree with my decision to cut Epcot though...

Besides, you really help me to appreciate AK. Now, if someone could help me appreciate DHS AND help me get my AP back...
