Who all's headed to MVMCP this year? Are you going just with the people in your traveling party? Are you meeting friends? Tell me what you're most looking forward to! I haven't been yet and I'm really interested in it!

Sadly, I am not going this year.
I will never do MVMCP again (or try MNSSHP) with hubby and our usual traveling companions - the old stick in the muds just wanted to leave early. When I reminded them this was a separate admission event that we'd paid nearly $60 each to get into, then all they wanted to do was park it on a bench and wait for the fireworks. Next time I do either of those parties, I'm either going alone or meeting up with some of you guys. I know I'd have a great time then.
We're going for our very first Party of any sort, ever! Really looking forward to the parade, the fireworks, the cookies, the hot chocolate, the 'snow'....heck, I might even shake my groove thing at one of the dance parties
crazycatperson, maybe someday our paths will cross. I know we'd have a splendid time. We can shut the place down and talk kitties while we're waiting in lines!
I'm going solo on the 13th and meeting some WDWFG folks. I may purchase a ticket for the 14th as well. I've never done the Xmas party. I love the Halloween party! Honestly, I'm just looking forward to the special party card(SotMK), all the decorations, hot cocoa and Xmas spirit. Also I'm really looking forward to the Osborn lights at DHS.

We are going but we plan on doing the parade and fireworks and that is about it.
We are going to our first MVMCP. Also first time for Osborne lights.
Hold on to your hats, (Mickey Ears) you'll be blown away.
We went to our first MVMCP last night after having done MNSSHP the last 2 years. I can honestly say we MUCH preferred the Halloween party in comparison. The party was sold out, but we still had our fill of rides. Pirates x 3, Haunted Mansion x4, Space Mountain x6 (!), all done with the kids in the right-back-on style with no waiting. We got in the stage show at the castle and the fireworks too. We even lucked out and got a bus back to our resort with minimal wait once midnight came around. We had a great time and were glad we went, but my wife and I both felt that there was no Christmas 'magic'. Maybe it's because we are used to cold, snowy Chistmases, and here we were in shorts and tshirts, but something was missing that MNSSHP has. I doubt we would do MVMCP again, but wouldn't hesitate to book MNSSHP again.
4 days left here now... As a generally strict athlete and 'clean' eater, I gotta tell ya, I'm loving my week of Disney dining. My newest favourite that I'm bringing home a case of: Mickeys Chocolate Cheddar Popcorn! Damn good stuff!
lol to the popcorn.
Okay, just my humble opinion, but why would anyone want to ruin perfectly good cheese popcorn by putting chocolate on it? (Cheese that goes crunch is one of the very few exceptions to my "ewww I hate cheese" rule.)
Ditto with caramel popcorn. So I read all the rave reviews here of the caramel corn at Epcot's Germany pavilion. I arrive at Epcot, rush over to get some, and all I can find is chocolate caramel popcorn. And I walk away disappointed.
(Cheese and caramel popcorn together, on the other hand, is awesome.)
I have never had the chocolate cheddar popcorn. MAS made it sound so yummy and seems so happy to have it, you have to give much mickey love for that alone. Cheese and chocolate ??? no sure about that but it must be popular or Disney won't carry it.

Repeat after me - There are no such thing as "calories" on vacation!

That is another thing that makes Disney so magical. Tinkerbell has used her wand and removed all the calories. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Just read Ollie's explanation about the negating of calories over on the Disney Food Pictures thread - you can eat whatever you want! I wonder if that works for Christmas calories too?

Time marches on. Eventually you realize it's doing it across your face.

My first impression was "Ewwww.. What a gross combination". Then my wife said the same thing, which of course prompted me to buy it thinking I'd have a snack all to myself for a change. It's a perfect combo of sweet and salty, I'd say 80% caramel and chocolate popcorn with 20% cheese popcorn mixed in.
Also had my first chocolate covered pineapple, and still need to get in my first Dole Whip float.
Sorry to have hijacked this MVMCP thread! Rookie mistake

Absolutely. Kilometers walked ( yes. I'm Canadian) negates calories injested

Yes, yes they do!
Oh and RUN, don't walk, RUN to get that Dole Whip Float! It's just heaven in a cup! As long as they haven't changed it, you can get Vanilla, Orange or Pineapple ice cream. With Vanilla it's like a pineapple creamcicle, with the Orange it's very citrus-y and with the Pineapple, well, it's Pineapple-y!

First time? I almost wanna be there to see your face when it starts.
