Wild Africa Trek Snack

I have to admit that the new Wild Africa Trek tour at Disney sounds pretty awesome. Apart from the almost $200 price tag it seems like something I would love to do! Then today on the Disney Food Blog I saw this

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/01/18/wild-africa-trek-snacking-on-the-savanna/

And now I'm sold..well almost sold..it is quiet expensive & I think it's a bad idea to do with a toddler..anyway..I'm sold for one day!

I hope this snack will stick around and not go the way of the Picnic in the Park....and who else loves Frunch?

That actually looks pretty interesting. I'm still a bit put off by the price though.

I know someone who went, I'll see if I can pick their brain about the tour. I have to say that food looks really interesting. In fact it looks like the kind of food that I will be really excited about trying, but by the time I get to try it they will have toned it down to a roast chicken because interesting food doesn't last very long at WDW.

The snack is wonderful. The presentation is top-notch...I love everything about it (well, except for the melon salad...but that's personal preference.) I hope they keep it. Thanks for sharing, Bella! This makes me want to go and prepare a hoity-toity picnic, which I LOVE to do.

Brad - do you think there's hope that it will stay interesting owing to the fact that not every Tom/Dick/Stanley will be able to afford this, and so the folks that can, might appreciate such a spread? That's probably a silly assumption...after all, everyone who would have the extra funds to do it wouldn't necessarily have good taste....I am, for example, a poor foodie Smile

Brad, before you pick the brain of your friend who did this tour, be sure you have a surgical saw.

The first time I went to Boma for breakfast I practically screamed "I WANT FRUNCH" before the waitress even got to the table.

She actually said "I see someone frequents the message boards". Apparently the only people that order it without asking what it is (that haven't been there before) are message board people that have heard about it.

Bella, I have the funniest visual of you sitting down at breakfast, all mommy-ish, hair all arranged, getting Holden situated in his booster, and then suddenly bellowing "I WANT FRUNCH!" like a two year old at the nearest server. Thank you, thank you for the laugh on this dreary morning biggrin

Sadly this was on my honeymoon so Holden was just a dream back then..but I my life is sort of like that anyway..except the hair all arranged..that never happens!

Caitie - I know, right? And in my visual, that server better move, tout suite, or Bella throws a COMPLETE temper tantrum! laugh

Judging from your pic, you have long hair. Me too...long-ish, anyway. I love how a ponytail and a side part can cover a multitude of sins...(i.e. having no time to brush our teeth, let alone comb our hair. Smile )

I have longer hair now..but HUGE mistake I cut my hair to my shoulders about a month before Holden was born. I was tired of being chunky and ugly so I cut it and then of course I never left the house so I spent months not being able to tie my hair back..I hated it!

HA- we both broke the golden rule of pregnancy - NEVER CUT YOUR HAIR no matter how badly you want to. I did exactly the same thing the first time around. Only mine was REALLY short. And I gained, like 70 lbs. Not a good look. Thank goodness it grows!
