On Your Last Day

Do you have a tradition? My kids love Chef Mickey's - I am not so fond of it, ever since the whole poop on the floor thing... laugh

Anyway, seems we like to eat at Chef Mickey's on the last day of our trips. On our upcoming trip we're having breakfast there - we've never done breakfast there but CJ's mom has to leave a day earlier than us so we're going to Chef Mickey's at 10am. She leaves around 1pm (plane leaves at 3:38pm) so once she leaves BLT we have the rest of the day free - not sure what we'll do?

Maybe DTD?

What do you like to do on the last full day of a trip?

Our last day is usually spent doing a lot of park hopping. It sometimes includes a last shopping trip to DTD. We usually end the day at the Magic Kingdom and head back to our resort right after the fireworks.

I love watching your countdown, Scrappy!

And, UL, I think you'll like breakfast at Chef Mickeys. I can highly recommend the cheesy potatoes!

Our last day is usually spent scrambling! We always have a million things we want to do/see that we've put off throughout the trip, so the last day is spent trying to do all of them.

One tradition I have is that I go swimming early on our last day there. I love swimming in the pools before they open. The morning is so quiet and nobody else is around. Very relaxing and a good time to reflect on the trip.

I am starting to like the idea of a DTD shopping trip! I haven't been to DTD since 1997 eek

Yes, swimming in the am is NICE!

I like to have the last day a 'free day' so we have a chance to do anything we may have missed. Seems like Chef Mickey's is becoming a tradition..I hope breakfast is better than dinner! heheee

That's a great idea. It helps that you can usually get some kind of discount at World of Disney if you're an Annual Passholder, Visa card holder, or DVC member (I think!). That way, you can buy all the souvenirs on the last day.

I was going to say. If I were a youngster and mom was not only making me leave WDW, but expected me to watch her shop too...
