Actually, that's from the "observation deck" on the 4th floor of the Contemporary, i.e. the main concourse.

Unfortunately, the rooms are OLD! Note that in the older part of the resort, there are no elevators, so you will have to climb up stairs to get to the upper floors. Think "heavy luggage".
I'm not sure if you can buy DVC memberships at OKW anymore. You might be able to buy it from members selling it. Still, your DVC membership will get you an 8-month window to stay at OKW, and we haven't had any problems with getting a room there.

This is my mom's favorite as well -- she says if she ever gets DVC, it'll be at OKW. Seems that resort is having a bit of a renaissance...
