Good afternoon!
I haven't been to WDW since December 2007.
I am less than ten months away from my 50th birthday and want to knock something off my bucket list: a baseball road trip!
Companies such as Jay Buckley's Baseball Tours of LaCrosse, WI; Sports Travel and Tours of Hatfield, MA; and Big League Tours of Greenwood, IN run four- to nine-day trips in specific regions of the United States in which you see at least one major-league game in each of several stadia.
As an example of my understanding of how this works, let me use Sports Travel and Tours (STAT), who sent me their 2012 brochure earlier this month. They run a trip that I, a rabid baseball fan, would love to do called Central Express (last one July 17-24, 2012). This usually involves six ballparks (Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Fields in Chicago, IL; Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI; Target Field in Minneapolis, MN; Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City, MO; and Busch Stadium in Saint Louis, MO), seven games involving eight different teams in eight days. The only thing I'd need to worry about is transportation from home to the start city and from the end city to home (because their customers come from all over), with all intercity travel by bus or plane; and spending money.
