The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights to Celebrate Final Season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This fan-favorite holiday attraction has been part of the holiday experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios since 1995. The light display first appeared on Residential Street but has been transforming the Streets of America for many years.

The Osborne family started the light display as a single family home display in Arkansas and each year they would add more lights. The display at Disney's Hollywood Studios includes millions of twinkling lights, music, carousels of angels, toy soldiers, and Santa Claus and his reindeer.

The last season for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights begins November 6 and runs through January 3.

Will you be visiting The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights this year and are you sad to see it go? Let us know in the comments.

there are some things that you just do not change or get rid of. This is one of them. Why must it go? It is as awesome the 20th time as it was the first. Very very disappointed in this decision.

I am very sad to hear this news!! We come to Disney every year and this has always been one of best attractions. Our family is very disappointed. I understand there will always be change, but I don't understand why this change. I think Disney executives should rethink this idea!!!!

Everything at Disney is about money. Someone determined the return on investment was not positive for this attraction. Bye-bye attraction. Ozborne lights was not an expense with a revenue opportunity at the end. Even Fantasmic is calculated to cause an increase in revenue opportunities as people wander out and stop for goodies, drinks and souveneers on their way. We all love The World, but if you ever attend the disney business academy, you will find the opening statement is, 'we do the mouse to make money'.

Aquila, I agree to a point, but for a long time now those lights have been the key draw to DHS during the winter months. I understand that they need to make way for the new Star Wars and Toy Story lands, those will be money makers all year long instead of just two months a year. I just wish they could have somehow kept this event, or perhaps relocated it to another area of the property, moved the essence of it to animation courtyard Sunset Boulevard perhaps. I don't know, I'm sure they looked at ways that they could continue, I'm just sad that they weren't able to find one.
