Hi folks, just wondering if anyone knows how much construction work is getting done at The Poly..A good friend of mine is thinking of changing resorts due to this...Already booked into Poly..

We are Poly fans. So much so, we watch the construction almost daily. There is a ton of work being done right now and it looks like there will be for quite a while yet. As far as your friend changing their reservation, they need to decide whether or not the construction will bother them. If they feel as though it will "ruin" their vacation they should change it.

There is major construction going on and you never know when something new will start. Half of the resort is now being taken for DVC . Have then go here if they haven't already.

Steve is a good friend and keeps updating on the construction. They can also check his Facebook page if they are on face book. People update there daily too.

Figured I would tag onto this post since I have a question about the Poly construction. We are visiting the World in October and I currently have an ADR booked at Kona Cafe. Wondering if anyone knows (or heard any rumors) of the construction affecting the restaurant, and/or if we should consider a switch..? I've never been and its been one of my top restaurants to try for a couple years now so probably just going to keep it no matter what, but we would still like to have the full experience if we go. Thanks for your help! I know MrHub and Scrappy are Poly experts

EmFord, if you really want it, I would keep the ADR. There is to rumor of Kona possibly closing due to some construction, but nothing definite from Disney yet. We just made ADR for November there.
