The Time is Nigh

Got out tickets in the mail today! I was so excited, I think I peed a little.
LOL, just kidding.

Really though, I'm all fired up. Got our 10-day MYW tickets with all the extras and two 7-day Universal two park passes (because they're the same price as the two day). Even the themes on the MYW tickets are perfect. Seven Dwarves for me and Cinderella for DW.

Got them from Kissimmee Guest Services; anyone ever use them? I was pretty pleased with them. They are a licensed, well-respected company, who I researched ahead of time to make sure I could trust. They are recommended by AllEars.net and offer an AE discount. Their prices are lower than I've found anywhere else, then I saved 5% on top of that. May not sound like much, but considering how much all this costs...it was notable. We also get lots of free goodies like PotC sword keychains, gold MM ears x2, and a gift bag.

Only issue I have, and it's a small one, is why the heck did I have to pay FL sales tax? Normally, you only have to pay sales tax if you reside in that state or if the entity does business in your state.

edit: Pardon the funny symbols...I tried to use extended characters and was RE-jected.

I love that 7-day Universal tickets deal! Such a great deal -- even if you only go once, you're assured that if you really love it, you can go back anytime that week!

Congrats on getting your tickets!!! I love getting those in the mail clapping

(And sorry you were rejected to use the smileys -- we'll have to look into that... sad )

Does your wife still seem to be in the dark about all your surprises?

Yep, she doesn't have any idea. Like I said before, she knows I've made special plans (because I've been known to), but I don't think she has any idea what. She doesn't even know there is such a thing as MNSSHP.

Admin - the symbols that are not recognized properly are extended character map symbols. The ones that display in the subtitle are such characters, but the wrong ones (not what I entered), and I couldn't change that part.

For example, this: â¥ should be a heart, this: â¦ should be a diamond, this: â£ should be a club, and this: â should be a spade.
As you can see, they are not displayed property. Not a big deal, but this is apparently the same underlying cause in difficulty with pasted text displaying correctly.

I think it sounds like a great time to go to MNSSHP without even really knowing what it is. What a blast.

As far as the characters, this particular forum software doesn't handle them well. Even worse it doesn't like back tick quotes which are MS Word's default. Thus we get a lot of messed up characters in pasted text. We're working on sorting it out and appreciate everyone being patient.

yay I wish you had a video camera when you bring her! How late into your trip are you going? I wonder if she'll see the signs for it and want to go before she knows she IS going mickey

if she mentions it you should insist that you would never go to such a thing.

Even if she does see signs, she won't know. I'll be able to convince her it's the first I've heard/seen of such a thing. She is rather astute, but I feel I've gotten pretty good at surprises. We're getting there Saturday, MNSSHP tickets are Tuesday.

Trip starts (at the end of the last pre-vacation work day!Smile ) in 37 days, 5 hours, 30 minutes...not that I'm counting.

That would be fun. "I dunno honey...doesn't seem like my kind of thing." Of course since she knows him pretty well I'm guessing that wouldn't fly, since it's obviously his kind of thing. biggrin

Yeah, that would be a dead giveaway. The old "Awe shucks. If only I had known..." sentiment would work though.

Thank you very much. I wish I had more time to devote to the board (and my TR) but sadly I do not. I'm going to try to work on last years TR this week.

It's like the War and Peace of TR's. Still have a couple days left to write. Reason it's hard for me is it takes several hours for each entry and I don't have a great deal of free time at home.
