The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic is now showing nightly at Disney's Animal Kingdom on the Discovery River. The limited-engagement show was announced earlier this spring after Disney pushed back the opening date for the planned River of Light show.
The Jungle Book-themed show is performed on the Discovery River and guests are seated in the new 5,000-seat Discovery River Theater. The show brings guests into the world of Mowgli and the jungle animals that protect and threaten him.
The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic features traditional Indian music and songs from The Jungle Book. Barges decorated with Indian banners and flowers float into view at the start of the show carrying singers, dancers, and musicians.
Water screens are used in the show, revealing the colorful world from the film including scenes from the film. Songs used in the show include 'The Bare Necessities,' 'Trust in Me,' and 'I Wan'na Be Like You.'
The show's finale includes an Indian-influenced "mega medley" by the cast that is a mashup of the songs from the film.
Guests can get FastPass+ for The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic and there is also a dining package available at both Tiffins and Tusker House.

Let me say first of all that I had very low expectations for this show, considering it was slapped together in a month. However it wasn't bad, there were beautiful colors, fun music, energetic dancers. It will do until we get the *real* show once Rivers of Light debuts.
