When Pandora " The World of Avatar opens at Disney's Animal Kingdom on Saturday, May 27, guests will have a chance to participate in conservation "missions" with a digital scientist on Pandora.
The new experience is called "Connect to Protect" and guests using My Disney Experience can participate.
When guests enter Pandora and use the My Disney Experience app they will be invited to instant message Fitsimti "Fits" Buckley, who happens to be one of Pandora's ecological specialists.
As Fits guides guests through Pandora he'll also share messages about conservation that are applicable to Pandora and Earth.
Once guests complete one or more missions they'll unlock a $10 contribution from Disney Parks through the Disney Conservation Fund. A $5 contribution will be unlocked for talking about conservation. Guests can choose how the contributions can be used to help one of 10 threatened groups of animals.
The animals include: apes, elephants, coral reefs, cranes, rhinos, sea turtles, tigers, and more.
Are you excited to visit Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom? Let us know in the comments.

Love this! The conservation aspect is one of my favorite parts of this Park, and it makes me so happy that Disney has expanded that into Pandora.
