What's better than noshing your way through Walt Disney World? Hanging out with others who are of the same mind frame. Scheduled for October, this year's WDW Foodie Fest has some neat activities planned to coincide with Epcot's International Food and Wine Fest.
The Foodie Fest with kick off with its "Main Event" on Sunday, October 2 at Ariel's at Disney's Beach Club Resort. This event is set to run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes a scavenger hunt throughout Epcot's World Showcase. Those who don't want to go on the hunt can still enjoy games and food at Ariel's.
Also planned are a Foodie Fest Sweet Stroll and a Foodie Fest Sushi and Karaoke Meet. The Sweet Stroll will feature a trip through the countries of the World Showcase in pursuit of dessert. The Sushi and Karaoke meet will be held at Kimonos at the Disney Swan Resort for those who want to meet up to try both sushi and karaoke. Both events will cost nothing to register, but participants should budget for their own food expenses. Dates for both are TBD.
Lastly, on October 4, the Foodie Fest will feature a Snack Attack Illuminations Dessert Party. Held at an Epcot location, the party's menu is to feature a host of favorite desserts. Alas, tickets for this event were very limited and are already sold out.
If you'd like to register to participate in any of the Foodie Fest events, you can register here. While registering does not lock you into particpating, it does give the planners an idea of how many to expect for each event.
