It's that time of year again: time to start planning your visit to the 2015 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the foodie fest and guests will have a chance to enjoy some new booths and special events.
This year the festival's Marketplace Booths are expanding into Future World with the addition of two new booths inspired by ABC's daytime cooking show The Chew. The booths are Sustainable Chew and the Chew Lab and they'll be located in an area called "Next Eats" near the Epcot Character Spot.
One of the dishes at the Sustainable Chew booth is Pork Spareribs with Cheesy Mascarpone Grits while the Chew Lab will be blending culinary trends and food science with items including New York Strip, Parsnip Silk, Balsamic Glaze and Arugula Foam.
In addition to The Chew-inspired booths, the cast of The Chew will be taping several episodes of the show at Epcot on October 7, 8, and 9 and those shows will air October 12-16 on ABC daytime.
Two other booths will be located in Future World in the Artistry of Wine and Cheese area. This area will be located on the walkway toward Future World West. The Cheese Studio will serve a sampling of artisan cheese on an artist's palette and the Wine Studio will be serving wines on tap.
And returning to the festival for the first time since 2007 is the Dominican Republic booth. It'll be joined by many returning favorites from previous years. For a full list of booths in addition to photos and menus visit the Disney Food Blog's 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Booth page.
Booking for the festival's seminars and demos will begin July 24 at 9 a.m. ET for Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and Golden Oak residents. Booking for all other events and for the general public will begin July 30 at 7 a.m. ET. (All dates and times are subject to change).
For the most up-to-date information on seminars and demos check out the Disney Food Blog's 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Seminars and Demonstrations page.
New for this year is the Food and Wine Festival Discovery Sampler Package that gives guests eight entitlements for food and drink from the Marketplace booths. Guests will also have access to priority seating for the 6:45 p.m. Eat to the Beat Concert. This package is $59 per person.
More information about this year's Epcot Food and Wine Festival will be released soon including full menus! Get the most up-to-date details at the Disney Food Blog's 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival page.
