It will be an Incredible Summer this year at Walt Disney World, with immersive experiences taking Guests deep into the worlds of their favorite Disney films. Visitors can look forward to something special going on in all four Theme Parks and Disney Springs, with new shows, attractions, meet and greets, and an entirely new Land! It all kicks off staring Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, 2018.
The good time starts at the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World's first Park, where Disney*Pixar super heroes will take over Tomorrowland. Dance the night away with a fun party where you can hob nob with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone from Disney*Pixar's "The Incredibles" and upcoming "Incredibles 2." Disney fashionistas will be awed by the indomitable Edna Mode, the greatest superhero costume designer of them all! This "SUPER" dance party will happen on the Rocket Tower Stage. But - if you won't be in Disney this Summer "Incredibles 2" opens in theaters nationwide June 15, 2018.
The Guardians of the Galaxy take over the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot. Star-Lord and Gamora will join a rockin' alien band, Guests will take a musical journey through the cosmos with classic hits from Awesome Mixtapes 1 and 2! All this "Super" fun is just a taste as fans anticipate the building of the new Epcot Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.
Disney's Animal Kingdom is celebrating 20 years of combining animal conservation and fun in Orlando. Two new experiences will help anchor the festivities: first is a "dino-tastic" celebration where Donald Duck takes over Dinoland U.S.A., and second the Explorers Meet UP! A Great Bird Adventure with Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug. It will be a Summer of adventure worthy of this auspicious anniversary.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios Summer visitors will find and 11-acres of outdoor adventures in Andy's backyard. When Toy Story Land opens it will bring two new attractions! Slinky Dog Dash, is a family-friendly coaster sending riders dipping, dodging and dashing around turns and drops built for thrills by Andy. The Little Green Men from Pizza Planet will send Guests spinning to avoid "The Claw" on Alien Swirling Saucers. Woody's Lunch Box will serve up meals and old-fashioned soda floats. It all comes to life inside Toy Story Land.
Over at Disney Springs including Star Wars fans will be able to participate in a whole new experience "Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire," a Hyper-Reality Experience from Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB and The VOID. There are also even more new restaurants comming from culinary celebrities. Terralina Crafted Italian, is a new concept from James Beard award winner and "Top Chef Master" Chef Tony Mantuano; and Wine Bar George, the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida, brought to Disney Springs by former California Grill manager and Master Sommelier George Miliotes.
