The Walt Disney World Resort is a playground of fantasy, with worlds of romance to explore in all corners of the property. We've talked about the Most Romantic Disney Restaurants & Dining Experiences, and covered 20 Ideas for Adding Disney Romance, so what's up next? How about 5 Romantic Things To Do At Walt Disney World That Are Free! The heart of romance is simply being with the one you love, but move that togetherness to one of these fine Disney locations and you'll be sure to make magic.
Movies Under The Stars
Snuggle up with your sweetie in one of many locations at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that offer complimentary outdoor screenings of Disney movies for their guests. Locations at the resorts vary and can be on the beach, poolside or surrounded by Floridian woodlands. No matter where you are though, you'll enjoy spending some time together under a clear night sky relaxing. Movies Under The Stars schedules can be found in your Disney Resort's Activity Guide - be sure to pick yours up at the front desk.
Fireworks
There's something romantic about watching the sky fill with glittering points of light, and no one puts on a fireworks show like Walt Disney World. Try to find a quiet spot where you can just hold hands and snuggle while watching one of the Disney Nighttime Shows such as Wishes (Magic Kingdom), IllumiNations (Epcot), or Symphony In The Stars (Hollywood Studios). If you aren't in a Park for the day you can still find great locations to enjoy the shimmering sky from the shores of the Polynesian or Grand Floridian.
Boat rides
Take a cruise around the Seven Seas Lagoon, Crescent Lake, or on the Sassagoula River using complimentary Walt Disney World Transportation. Step aboard, scoot in close, and just relax while the beautiful landscapes of Walt Disney World pass by. My favorite free cruise is a spin around Crescent Lake after dark, when the lights from Boardwalk are reflecting off the water, and you're sitting close to your sweetie, it's just like heaven.
Take A Walk
The Walt Disney World Resort is home to miles of paths across well maintained gardens, strands of beach, and woodsy terrain, making it a perfect spot to grab your true loves hand and go for a walk. When life is about the journey, taking the extra time to stroll together makes your final destination all the better.
Grand Floridian Society Orchestra
Each night (from 4:00pm until 10:00pm) the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra fills the elegant lobby of Disney's flagship resort with the music. Playing a broad variety of ragtime, Dixie, traditional jazz and popular Disney tunes, this genteel orchestra offers a concert worthy of this grand hall. Snuggle up on a lobby loveseat, or even find a spot to sway along in each other's arms.

I love the Sassagoula River and its banks and a boat ride on the River SHOULD be a lovely and romantic trip, but it's ruined by the loud engines that cause uncomfortable vibrations in the boat. I usually can't wait to get off by the time the ride is over. I don't understand why Disney can't use quieter engines. It does beat the bus when going to Downtown Disney Springs from Port Orleans...but not by much.
