Congratulations go out to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge this week for their recent achievement of the AAA Four-Diamond rating.
This is a pretty lofty status the Animal Kingdom Lodge has garnered as only four percent of AAA-rated hotels are granted the Four-Diamond rating. To date, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the seventh Walt Disney World resort to gain this status.
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe Disney resort with an African theme throughout. Guests are treated to a lobby with a thatched roof, mud fireplace and a flowing stream as well as three distinct, African-inspired restaurants. Adding to its unique charm is its rock outcroping - or "kopje" - which gives guests a great view of animals roaming the resort's and park's savannah,
"Jamala," which is the Swahili term for "courtesy and refinement," is something the staff of the Animal Kingdom lodge strives for, according to the resort's general manager Kim Marinaccio. She goes on to explain that the staff embodies the "warm and sharing" African culture and couples this with great service to provide a lodging experience that is like no other.
Congratulations, Animal Kingdom Lodge!
