Located in Tomorrowland is the historic Carousel of Progress. The theater rotates around six stages that take you through the history of American home technology with each vignette taking about four minutes the experience will let you rest in dark air conditioned bliss for about 25 minutes. I must admit I've taken a nap in here more than once.

If you're rest on the Carousel of Progress hasn't quite been enough, take a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has a leisurely pace and generally small queues. One of my family's favorite attractions this scenic ride offers a bird's eye preview of much of Tomorrowland and one of the best views of Cinderella Castle I know. Lasting 10:03 Minutes the line enters and exits many of the buildings at a top speed of about 6 miles per hour. Breezy and fun the PeopleMover is a great way to relax a bit in Tomorrowland.

Mickey's PhilharmagicMickey's Philharmagic is 3D Fun!

Mickey's PhilharMagic is a 4D film sensation located in Fantasyland that features featuring 3D, scent, and water effects during its 12-minute show. With a more raucous tone lead by Donald Duck, it may not be the best place for a nap, but it's a nice climate controlled respite of magical musical instruments.

The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square has the added benefit of air conditioning for those hot summer days. The show is 23 minutes long, so if you enter and sit down in the lobby just after the theater fills and a show begins, you can catch about 45 minutes of temperature controlled relaxation.

Main Street USA Train StationMain Street USA Train Station

Ever popular, the Walt Disney World Railroad offers a 20-minute scenic journey on a 1.5-mile track surrounding the Magic Kingdom. The best part about this attraction is that you can climb aboard one of 4 antique steam-powered engines at either the Frontierland or Main Street USA stations.

Next time you need a rest during your touring schedule, be sure to remember these great places to take a break! Do you have a favorite spot to slow down when you're in the Magic Kingdom? Tom Sawyer's Island is another great place to relax. It's generally pretty quiet and while it's not air conditioned, there are a lot of shady spots! There are even some nice rocking chairs with an awesome view of Big Thunder. Definitely a good spot to go and get away from the crowds.

Also, just FYI, you can also get on the train in Fantasyland!

One of my favorite air-conditioned attractions is The Country Bear Jamboree. It's quite corny so it might not be for everyone, but I've loved this show since I was a kid.
