Maybe you've experienced this: you wake up before dawn at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and you're the first people in line for the bus to your favorite theme park so you can get there at rope drop. But then as you're standing there waiting for the park to open you realize you're starving! You forgot to grab something quick at your hotel and now you need to eat breakfast before tackling your daily touring plan.
But where can you find a quick, no hassle breakfast at your chosen theme park? Have no fear! We've come up with some of our favorite spots to grab a quick bite to eat before it's time for your first FastPass+ of the day.
If you're visiting the Magic Kingdom in the early morning hours and you're craving a huge cinnamon roll we suggest visiting Gaston's Tavern. The cinnamon roll at Gaston's is very similar to the sweet giant you used to find at the Main Street Bakery before Starbucks came to town. Find a seat in one the ample dining room areas and enjoy a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll. It'll fuel your day until lunchtime.
Another favorite spot in the Magic Kingdom is Sleepy Hollow, especially if you're a fan of waffle sandwiches! Our favorite is the Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, but you can also find a ham and cheese omelet waffle sandwich and plain waffles dusted with powdered sugar. Plus, you can snag a seat with a great view of Cinderella Castle! Not a bad way to start the day.
Of course you can also stop by the Main Street Bakery as you walk down the middle of Main Street and grab a Starbucks coffee and a muffin. An under-the-radar spot to find a quick breakfast is the Cheshire Cafe where you'll find assorted cereals, muffins, and coffee.
If you're starting your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios we'll always recommend the Writer's Stop as a great place to find a quick breakfast. Our 'best breakfast item' is the Carrot Cake Cookie, but maybe you'll pick a muffin, cinnamon bun, or even yogurt. You'll also find hot and cold coffee drinks and other beverage choices.
Another favorite at Disney's Hollywood Studios is Starring Rolls Cafe. If you're looking for a bagel or a croissant this is the place to stop. Of course you could always choose to start your day with one of the 'famous' cupcakes at Starring Rolls (and we would not judge you for that choice!). Soon you'll also be able to stop by the Starbucks at the Studios when it opens as the Trolley Car Cafe.
When starting our day at Disney's Animal Kingdom we like to stop at Kusafiri Bakery. Not only can you find a "colossal cinnamon roll" on the menu but they also serve a hot breakfast wrap, assorted Danishes and muffins, cereal and milk, and healthier options like yogurt and fruit cups. If you need to caffeinate yourself before your Animal Kingdom trek, this is a good place for coffee, iced and hot.
But if you're looking for more than a giant cinnamon roll at the Animal Kingdom, we suggest stopping by Pizzafari for a quick breakfast. Their menu features the bounty platter (just like you'll find at your hotel's quick service spot), a breakfast burrito, breakfast croissant, a kid's breakfast platter, and even "ancient hot grain cereal" (which is a combo of oatmeal, quinoa, and barley). Other choices include bagels, fruit cup, and assorted beverages.
And if your day begins at Epcot you can always stop by Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion for the best hot breakfast at the park. It's our favorite spot to grab an early morning meal! If you're looking for something faster we suggest the Fountain View for a cup of Starbucks and a quick pastry. But if you're looking for something really special, head back to Les Halles Boulangiere Patisserie.
Les Halles is the only spot in World Showcase that is open for breakfast and it's our favorite. You can get a delicious French pastry and a cup of coffee and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive. This is a perfect spot for breakfast, especially if you're arriving from the Epcot area deluxe resorts!

The Coffee NEEDS to improve park wide. Starbucks does not taste like starbucks. It is often burnt, bitter or both. The best coffee anywhere near Disney was on the boardwalk at Kat Cora's restaurant. Every park was a disappointment when it came to coffee, anyone agree?

Totally agree about the cinnamon roll at Gaston's Tavern. It is huge! And a great use of a snack credit for breakfast if you are eating on the Disney dining plan.
Also, Sunshine Seasons at Epcot has good hot breakfast choices if you need a little more than a pastry. Right next to Soarin'!

My favorite is Les Halles Boulangiere Patisserie. Nice variety of food and beverages. So convenient when staying at Boardwalk, Yacht Club or Beach Club. Looking forward to eating there during my Boardwalk stay in May.

Disney does not have the best coffee - but The Writer's Stop at Hollywood Studios seemed to have better coffee. I highly recommend them. Also, the rolls at Starring rolls Cafe were incredible. Also, highly recommend them. We also had Starbucks and a bakery item at Main Street Cafe in Magic Kingdom and there is also a Starbucks at Epcot.

I do feel like the coffee at Walt Disney World in general has improved greatly over the past two years. However I'm still crazy happy to have a coffee pot in the Villa so I can brew my own in the morning. We always pre-portion and pack our own coffee for a morning cup.

Any place in World Showcase is not really a good breakfast option. Opening at 11:00 is not breakfast. Breakfast options really don't exist at Magic Kingdom for my family. We loved the pastries and croissant sandwich at the former Main Street Bakery.
