Walt Disney World Guests know that the Vacation Kingdom is a fantastic place to find a snack. There are so many treats and and snack flavors entire books have been written about snacking across the property. We found out that Saturday March 28th is the official "Something On A Stick Day!" To honor the fun sounding holiday we rounded up a few of our Disney treats to give you delicious ideas of how you can celebrate.
3) Caramel Apples in all shapes and sizes are a popular treat for Walt Disney World travelers. My favorites can be found at Dumbo's Big Top Treats where you can watch the friendly confectioners creating all sorts of magical Disney treats on sticks. We love Disney's mongo caramel apples, but honestly, they're easier to eat if you take them off the stick and slice them up.
4) Looking to add something on a stick to a more upscale dining experience? Why not head over to Epcot for a meal at Restaurant Marakesh. This stunning Moroccan dining experience offer beef or chicken Shish Kebabs as one of the more familiar entrees on the menu.
3) Candy Coated Marshmallows are even more fun when the stick is really a Mickey Mouse Crazy Straw. Not only is this a delicious treat, but comes with its own fantastic take away souvenir.
2) Hand-dipped Corn Dogs at the Fantasy Fare Food Truck located in Downtown Disney's Exposition Park serves up fan favorite foods from Magic Kingdom's around the world. This delicious treat comes to Orlando from the Anaheim Park, and we are so happy that it did!
1) Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars are the creme de la creme of Super Disney Snacks on sticks and can be found at ice cream carts across propety. The rich and creamy vanilla ice cream, coated in thick silky chocolate shell. Many a Disney fan doesn't feel their vacation is complete without indulging in one of these classic Disney treats.
That's hardly the limit to delicious treats available on sticks at Walt Disney World, so here are couple of honorable mentions! Mickey Krispie Treats can be bought and enjoyed on a stick, though we'll eat these gooey goodies in any way shape or form. The stick can be especially handy when you're created a custom covered version at Goofy's Candy Company. Chocolate Covered Bananas are also super popular, this "gateway fruit" as it was called on the Disney Food Blog can be found either fresh or frozen. The frozen treats are a summer delight, just be careful not to break a tooth because they come out of the ice cream carts rock hard.
Thanks so much to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for sharing their images with us. Do you have a favorite Disney "Something On A Stick?" Leave a comment and let us know how you would celebrate if you were in Disney.
