Sitting at the top of Disney's Riviera Resort, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera is home to one of the newest Character meals at Walt Disney World. A signature dining space the restaurant is inspired by the cliffsides of the European Riviera and features some spectacular views from no matter where your table is. Regular Guest Author, JoAnnC, stopped by for breakfast on her last trip to give you a peek at what's going on.
I tried Topolino's Terrace for breakfast at the Riviera Resort on my last trip. One of few character meals available at Walt Disney World during this time, breakfast at Topolino's Terrace is served from 7:30am to 11:15am and Advanced Dining Reservations are highly suggested. Breakfast is served via a prix fixe menu for $42 for adult and $27 for children (price subject to change).
The characters are inspiring artists - Mickey is a painter, Minnie is a writer, Donald is a sculptor and Daisy is a dancer. They don't stop at each table but will stop in each area of the restaurant to allow guests to take pictures at a safe distance. The characters are introduced individually before they walk the room.
During my meal, they all came out to dance for everyone celebrating a special occasion that day.
And now on to the food!
I arrived for my reservation and was asked to check in on one the App. The process is similar to the Walk Up Wait List feature. I have a seafood allergy so I was given the allergy friendly menu.
They also have specialty drink menu. To drink, I ordered the Cafe D'louvre.
My meals started with a basket of pastries.
I couldn't decide which entree I wanted (Quiche Gruyere or the Sour Cream Waffle). As I always say, when in doubt order both! They were both delicious. I don't think I could pick a winner between the two.
After I finished eating, I went out to the terrace to see the spectacular view.
On my out I noticed they were selling plush of the characters in their Topolino's outfits.
I will definitely have breakfast here again (already have it reserved in December). I would like to try dinner too some day!
