There's little question that crowds in the Disney Parks this Holiday Season will be some of the lowest ever. Back in October, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed that the parks were operating at 25% capacity and said that the plan was to maintain a capacity level that allowed for social distancing according to the CDC's COVID-19 guidelines until those guidelines changed. We've got news on how that has changed.
The State of Florida Florida recently moved to phase 3, which allowed many businesses and theme parks to increase their capacity and normalize operations. Last week during the Q4 Earnings Call for the Walt Disney Company, some exciting new came as we learned that Walt Disney World capacity has been increased to 35%!
It's a relatively huge increase in operating capacity, even while keeping the Disney Parks at a manageable level that Chapek still allows the company to adhere to the 6-foot social distancing guidelines from health and government officials.
Thanks so much to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for exclusive use of their recent Park crowds pictures.
