To help Captain America in this endeavor, Marvel introduces its next hero to the audience's in the role of the Falcon (who has found himself within the Avengers roster several times in the comic book universe), played by Anthony Mackie.

The overseas opening is already off to a great start, bringing in a dazzling $75.2 million internationally from 32 markets. Those of us here in the United States only have a couple more days to wait before we can see this summer blockbuster for ourselves and according to the Hollywood Reporter it's "not inconceivable that the movie's worldwide gross could approach $250 million by Sunday."
