Club Cool – A Refreshing Stop in Future World
The next time you're wandering through Epcot's Future World and it's hotter than HOT and you're thinking how refreshing the Fountain of Nations looks, we suggest ducking in to Club Cool for a short visit.
Club Cool is home to a fun and free activity that should be part of every trip to Epcot - sampling Coca-Cola products from around the world. (It's also a great place to find a frozen Coke, but more on that in another post).
Club Cool by Coca-Cola
Inside Club Cool (which is sponsored by Coca-Cola) you'll find an array of Coca-Cola merchandise and more importantly, soda fountains that dispense wonderful and sometimes wacky international beverages.
Here's a quick rundown of what beverages you might find at Club Cool:
- Krest Ginger Ale from Mozambique
- Fanta Kolita from Costa Rica
- Beverly from Italy
- Vegeta Beat from Japan
- Kinley Lemon from Israel
- Lift Apple from Mexico
- Smart Watermelon from China
- Mezzo Mix from Germany
Club Cool Flavors
The names don't really give you an indication of flavors, but at the soda fountain there is a brief description for each beverage. Many people say Mezzo Mix and Smart Watermelon are their favorite flavors. Mezzo Mix has a slight orange flavor (think orange Coca-Cola) and the Smart Watermelon is sweet and refreshing.
Let's talk for a second about the most "infamous" beverage at Club Cool - Beverly. This carbonated beverage from Italy is bubbly and bitter. And pretty awful if we're being honest. Unless of course you like bubbly and bitter - then Beverly is right up your alley.
When it comes to drinking Beverly, if you happen to be visiting Club Cool with "newbies" who have never experienced the joy of Beverly, it's great fun to tell them "You MUST try Beverly!" Then, hand them a nice full cup and have your camera ready. The look on the face of a Beverly newbie is priceless. Just be sure to have them chase it with something sweet, like Smart Watermelon, and spend the rest of your day apologizing for introducing them to the Beverly experience.

So whether you can't get enough Mezzo Mix or just want to watch the reactions of the Beverly drinkers, Club Cool is one of those "can't miss" free adventures at Epcot. It's a perfect escape from the heat and a fun way to spend 20 or 30 minutes of your day.

Okay, here's an opposing point of view when it comes to "the most 'infamous' beverage at Club Cool"...
If you can appreciate a dry aperitif or a dry champagne, you'll like Beverly. Just don't sip it thinking you're getting a typical sugar-bomb soda. Think of it more as a non-alcoholic cocktail (and I'm not talking about the kind of cocktail full of fruit, sugar, and little pink umbrellas). And be sure to try Beverly first. Save the sweet stuff for after the Beverly.
I first went into Club Cool expecting to hate Beverly. Now I go there just for the Beverly. It's quite refreshing and a wonderful alternative to the sweet sodas you'll find everywhere else at Disney World.

I've actually never had Beverly, so that's a great point of view for me to read. Perhaps I'll finally give it a try. I can wrap my head around "dry apertif"

Smart Watermelon is the winner in my book. Club Cool is a cool place to cool off, try some "cool" beverages and enjoy the coolness of Coca-Cola!

First of all, I am very pleased that Club Cool is still around. It's been 10 years since last visiting Epcot!
Personally, I found BEVERLY to be very refreshing. I didn't mind the bitterness at all! Looking forward to sampling it again upon my return next September.
