Disney Springs has grown to be quite a destination in the past year, with world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment. On my last trip I spent quite a bit of time wandering the new sections, and one of my favorite places was the first place we went was the Coca-Cola Store. Coca-Cola has been a Disney partner since 1942, and this new store is a showpiece for the company.

Walt Disney once said that his parks were not intended to be museums, but that they should be constantly changing and evolving, so it should come as no surprise that the Main Street, U.S.A. that we enjoy at Magic Kingdom today is substantially different than the Main Street, U.S.A. that debuted on October 1, 1971. Although the Main Street skyline has remained largely consistent, the composition of the shops inside has varied over time. The overall look and feel of the area has changed as well.

Explore Days Gone By On Tom Sawyer Island

Sitting across the Rivers of America lies what could be one of the most overlooked attractions in the Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyer Island. It opened in 1973 and has stood the test of time. To get there, guests must take one of four a jaunty rafts named Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher, Injun Joe, or Huck Finn. They run from a dock nestled on the riverbank in Frontierland across to the island where on Tom's Landing the ageless adventure begins.

Club Cool is home to a fun and free activity that should be part of every trip to Epcot - sampling Coca-Cola products from around the world. (It's also a great place to find a frozen Coke, but more on that in another post).
