For years Goofy's Candy Company is a staple stop for Disney fans with a sweet tooth. Located in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) this fun and crazy confectionary is turning the place to find both Disney branded snacks and packaged treats, rows of colorful bulk candies, mixable frozen slushes, and my personal favorite, the Create You Own Treat bar. On my last trip to Walt Disney World my daughter and I headed to Goofy's to kick off our vacation right.

It always takes me a few minutes to get my bearing in Goofy's. With all the bright and colorful treats I always find it helpful knowing what I've gone in for. There's a snack here for just about anyone and we often use up our dining plan snack credits picking out delicious treats. Once we're done browsing around we make our way to the big sign that says "Order Here." On it there will be a list of what the confections of the day are that you can customize. While specific selections can change, options for customizable usually include krispie treats, pretzel rods, marshmallows, apples and cookies.

Once you know what you want your base treat to be, grab a card! You'll need to first fill out your name, and then you get to start checking off the boxes for what you want on top. The price includes your treat customized with one dip, one topping, and one drizzle. However - additional toppings can be added for an additional cost if you're feeling crazy. On our last trip (Feb 2015) the prices and Dining Plan options were as listed below, but are always subject to change without notice.

• Specialty Apples: $9.99
• 3 Topped Pretzel Rods: $9.99
• Topped Crisp Rice Treat: $5.49 (DDP snack)
• Topped Marshmallow: $4.99 (DDP snack)
• Cookie: $4.99 (DDP snack)

The choices for toppings are plentiful. We chose a white chocolate dip, oreo topping, and milk chocolate drizzle, but there are dozens on combinations that you could try! Below is what was available when we stopped by.

• Dip: White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, or Dark Chocolate
• Toppings: Sprinkles, Mini M&M's Peanut Butter Chips, Chopped Peanuts, Chopped Pecans, Chopped Walnuts, Sliced Almonds, Cinnamon & Sugar, Dark & White Chocolate Chips, Crushed Oreos, Crushed Butterfingers, Coconut, or Graham Cracker Crumbs.
• Drizzle: White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, or Dark Chocolate

After finishing your customization card, hand it to the friendly cast member confectioner, and they'll get to work creating a special treat just for you. Glass windows allow you to watch the confectioners make your treat, which is honestly one of my favorite parts. There are a scattering of tables in the back of the shop where you can sit and wait, or you can continue to browse through the store. I warn you though, the more you browse the more you'll want!

Once your confection is completed, the cast member will package your treats and call your name for pick up! Nothing's left but the eating - and that's some sweet Disney magic.
