Disney has announced the dates for this fall's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. The first party is scheduled for September 2 and the party is held on select nights through October 31.
This year's party will be the first MNSSHP after Disney updated its costume guidelines late last year. The new policy for this year's event states that "guests ages 14 and older are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body." Guests who choose to wear layered costumes may be subject to additional security screening.
Costumes also cannot "contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon." The complete costume guidelines can be found at the Disney World website.
Now on to the fun stuff.
The 2016 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on 29 nights this year and includes trick-or-treating in the park, Disney characters dressed in Halloween costumes, and themed food and merchandise. Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Happy HalloWishes are also included.
Dates for this year's parties are: September 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30; and October 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31.
