Dates Officially Announced for the 2015 D23 Expo in Anaheim

The dates for the 2015 D23 Expo were announced by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger at The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting on March 18.

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club presents the Expo and the 2015 event is scheduled for August 14-16, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

"The D23 Expo is the ultimate Disney fan event, created to honor and celebrate your love of all things Disney," Iger told shareholders and D23 Members at the Company's Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon. "And we hope to see you there."

The 2015 D23 Expo will mark the fourth year for the event and it promises to be the biggest Expo yet. In 2013, more than 65,000 Disney fans attended the Expo.

In 2013, stars including Angelina Jolie, Chris Evans, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston made appearances at the Expo, while Disney Legends Alan Menken and Richard M. Sherman treated fans to a once-in-a-lifetime concert.

Next year fans will have a chance to celebrate what's new and on the horizon for Disney Parks, television, music, games, and films including Pixar, the Muppets, Star Wars, and Marvel.

The D23 Expo 2015 will feature the 2015 Disney Legends Ceremony, Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, and the Collector's Forum where Disney fans can buy, sell, and trade Disney collectibles, memorabilia, and merchandise.

The show floor at the Expo will gives fans a chance to see what's on the horizon for Disney parks around the world, in addition to the opportunity to run into Disney stars, characters, Imagineers, animators, and filmmakers.

Advance tickets for the D23 Expo 2015 go on sale at D23Expo.com on August 14, 2014. D23 Members will receive special pricing on one- and three-day tickets to the event. The D23 Expo is open to the general public.
