Discover Epcot International Festival of the Holidays Kitchens

The winter holidays at Walt Disney World have delighted visiting guests for decades. One of my favorite more recent additions are the Holiday Kitchens at Epcot's International Festival of the Holidays. Tucked in around the 1.2 mile World Showcase promenade, guests will find charming culturally inspired kiosks serving up traditional holiday fare. Sights and sounds of cultures near and far entertain all who come, but it's the flavors of the holidays that keep me coming back.

Epcot's International Festival of the Holidays guests can savor special recipes from around the globe that capture flavors of winter traditions. This year, several of the marketplaces setting up shop will be offering new menu items to warm you heart and your belly with seasonal cheer.

Feast of the Three Kings marketplace is kicking off 2018 with an entirely new menu. Dishes making their debut include "sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives, queso fresco-stuffed arepa topped with shrimp, crushed avocado aji and tomato sauce, as well as arepas topped with melted queso fresco."

Other new flavors will include:

The American Holiday Table will be serving up a meal right out of my childhood, with its take on "hand carved smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole."

The Bavaria Holiday Kitchen goes dark and luscious with a black forest roulade and cherry whipped cream.

At the Taste Track marketplace guests searching for holiday eats will find three different variations of croissant doughnuts. As if just one delicious bite wasn't enough!

In 2018 Disney is giving holiday cookie lovers even more foodie fun with an official cookie crawl! Participating guests will be able to track their purchases of five select holiday cookies in the Festival Passport by collecting a unique stamp for each one. Then, once you've completed the cookie crawl, stop by the Holiday Sweets and Treats marketplace to receive a special complimentary "completer" cookie... and of course have a glass of milk! Santa would definitely approve.

Shout-out to our friends at the DFB for granting us exclusive use of their fabulous food photos. What is your favorite holiday food? Let me know in the comments!
