Disney's Animal Kingdom is ready to celebrate Earth Day, April 22, with its Party for the Planet presented by Disneynature. The party is a way to encourage guests to connect with nature and enjoy fun activities throughout the theme park.
Activities for the day include meeting animal care team members, animal educators, and conservation experts plus watching animal feedings and training experiences.
Guests will also have a chance to attend a meet-and-greet with Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde. Joe will be at the park to sign his artwork that was created for a new Disney Conservation Fund and to sign the new coffee table book, 'The Disney Conservation Fund: Carrying Forward A Conservation Legacy.'
Joe will be at the Discovery Trading Company (formerly Disney Outfitters) from 1-2 p.m. on April 22. Wristbands will be distributed for the event. Find out more info here.
Guests can also check out a new sand sculpture at the park's entrance that is inspired by The Jungle Book live-action film.
