Disney Cruise Line was recently ranked as the most environmentally responsible cruise line by Friends of the Earth in the organization's 2014 Cruise Ship Report Card. Although the cruise line received an overall grade of a C+, it was higher than the other cruise line's grades.
The Friends of the Earth rank several factors in determining a cruise line's environmental footprint including sewage treatment, air pollution reduction, water quality compliance, and transparency.
The transparency grade was new for this year, and every cruise line graded in the 2014 report received an 'F' in the transparency category. This is likely due to the Cruise Line International Association's (CLIA) written refusal to respond to Friends of the Earth's request for information on behalf of the 16 cruise lines in the report.
Disney Cruise Line received an A for sewage treatment, a B- for air pollution reduction, an A for water quality compliance, and an F for transparency, for a final grade of C+.

This is so good to know, it's important that we take care of our oceans and not all cruise lines are as fastidious.
