Disney Expanding Golden Oak Site to a Total of 400 Homes in Eight Neighborhoods

Golden Oak, the exclusive and gated residential community within the Walt Disney World Resort, is expanding.

The residential area debuted in 2010 and currently includes 100 homes in four neighborhoods. When the area is completed it will be comprised of eight neighborhoods with nearly 400 homes total.

To date, only 40 of the 100 current home sites have been purchased. The homes in Golden Oak range in price from $1.8 to $6 million and all are custom built. The development also features parks, gardens, and natural preserves.

The newest area in Golden Oak is called Marceline and will include 56 home lots that are nearly one-quarter acre each. The styles of homes range from Mediterranean to Caribbean themed and most include a pool, hot tub, and separate guesthouse.

Golden Oak residents can join the Summer House clubhouse, which has a $15,000 annual fee and includes a bar, restaurant, outdoor pool, 17,000 square foot fitness center, and a lounge with a 103-inch screen television.

In addition residents can receive a family pass to the Disney theme parks, door-to-park transportation service, and guest passes to the parks.

And if that isn't enough to make you want to move to Golden Oak as soon as you win the lottery, residents will also have access to the soon-to-open Four Seasons Orlando including the hotel's restaurants and Tom Fazio-designed golf course.

I so wish that I could move in here. I keep buying lottery tickets but it just doesn't seem to be happening.

I've been having lottery fantasies and I have picked out my Golden Oak home. DW and I love the Tuscan Sun or the Beaumont. I mean who wouldn't want a 9000sqft house only minutes from Disney?!

come on lottery, mama needs a swim up pool bar and spa!
