After months of anticipation the 'Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade' debuted at the Magic Kingdom on March 9.
The parade is a celebration of Fantasyland and features nearly 100 performers and Disney characters in addition nine floats that will travel down Main Street U.S.A. to an all-new soundtrack composed by Mark Hammond " who is known for his work on World of Color of Disney California Adventure
The parade's floats tell the stories of Tangled, Peter Pan, Brave, Sleeping Beauty, and other Fantasyland stories.
One of the highlights of the floats is the fire-breathing steampunk-inspired Maleficent dragon. Anna and Elsa from Disney's Frozen also make an appearance along with their summer-loving snowman friend Olaf.
The costumes for the parade were created in 10 costume houses in eight cities and two countries, including the Creative Costuming facilities in Florida and California.
The parade costumes were created by costume designer Mirena Rada who has designed projects for Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland. This is her first project for a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort.
