Disney Guests Help Create Animal Enrichment Items at the Animal Kingdom

Guests visiting Rafiki's Planet Watch at Disney's Animal Kingdom have the chance to design enrichment for the park's animal residents. Enrichment is important to the daily routine of the animals at the Animal Kingdom, encouraging them to "do what comes naturally" in their natural behaviors.

Create enrichment items at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Now, guests visiting the Wildlife Express station are able to work with the Science Operations Team to create their own enrichment items using recycled and repurposed materials. The items will be given to small mammals and birds.

Items guests create including a puzzle square where seeds can be hiding, a hanging decoration for animals to shred, or a small paper-stuffed tube for small mammals.
