Disney Looking To Hire 800 Employees For Aulani Resort

The doors to Aulani in Ko Olina are set to open near the end of summer, and now Disney is looking for local workers to fill some 800 positions for their Hawaiian resort and spa.

Djuan Rivers, the Aulani Vacation Club Vice President, said: "We're looking for people who are genuine who have the heart to deliver the Hawaiian story and deliver great service." The hiring team for the resort is also looking for workers who are "self motivated, committed to excellence and have a passion for the islands and its heritage."

There is also a need for individuals who are fluent in Hawaiian. The resort will feature a restaurant called the Olelo Room in which the staff will speak only the language native to the islands.

To help fill the positions needed, Disney is holding a job fair May 18 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center. In addition, application information can be found at the following website: www.aulani.jobs.

The 359 hotel rooms and 481 two-bedroom villas of Aulani will open this coming August.
