The Themed Entertainment Awards announced their choices for this year's Thea Awards recipients on Tuesday, naming four that were Disney-related.
Disneyland and Walt Disney World shared an award for outstanding achievement in the "attraction refresh" category for Star Tours. The attraction reopened in May in both the California and Disney Hollywood Studios locations.
Disney World also nabbed another award with the nightly Magic Kingdom show, "The Magic, The Memories and You." Shown on Cinderella's Castle, it received outstanding achievement in the "show spectacular" category.
Disney Cruise Line was also honored for "ingenious use of technology" that will appear on the newest ship, Disney Fantasy. Though still under construction, the ship's Animator's Palate Restaurant will feature technology that gives guests the chance to draw characters upon their placements and then see those characters alongside favorite Disney characters in Disney movies.
A Disney Imagineer was named to receive the Buzz Price Thea Award. This award, which recognizes "a lifetime of distinguished achievements," was given to vice president Joe Rohde. Rohde has been employeed in Disney Imagineering for thirty years.
The winners of the Thea Awards will be honored at a dinner in March.

I'm so happy that Joe Rohde was honored with this. He is one of my very favorite Imagineers!
