Earlier this week, the Oscar nominations were revealed with Disney coming in with a not-too-shabby total of thirteen nods.
It may come as no surprise Disney Pixar's Toy Story 3 leads Disney's nominations with five including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Song, a nomination in the Sound Editing field, Best Animated Feature and, arguably the top prize, Best Picture.
Earning three nominations is Tim Burton's live action flick Alice in Wonderland. While Johnny Depp was a Golden Globe nominee for his work in Alice, the film did not score any acting nods, but instead picked up nominations in the Costume Design, Visual Effects and Art Direction categories.
Alice in Wonderland will have some friendly competition in the Visual Effects category from Disney Marvel's Iron Man 2 who picked up its sole nomination in that category.
Other Disney related films picking up a single nomination include Tron:Legacy for Sound Editing, Disney Pixar's Day & Night for Best Animated Short, and Touchstone Miramax's The Tempest for Costume Design.
Tune in at 8 p.m. EST February 23 for the live broadcast of the 83rd Academy Awards on ABC.
