Happy Thursday! We're so close to the weekend! It's been another busy week of Disney news and we've rounded it up. In today's news we have the dates for the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic, updates on security measures, and much more.
The 2017 Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic is planned for October 27 and 28 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Food and Wine Classic features a causeway of booths showcasing the best in food and wine, plus seminars where guests can learn about wine, beer, and even sushi making.
The new attraction at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, Miss Adventure Falls, is a story-driven attraction and guests will find a treasure trove of incredible details in the queue.
The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex celebrated its 20th anniversary this week. The celebration included commemorative merchandise, "nostalgic" entertainment, and recognition of 18 cast members who have been at the Complex since opening day.
Metal detectors for the Magic Kingdom have been relocated to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Guests who drive to the Magic Kingdom will go through security at the TTC, while guests at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Disney's Polynesian Village will be screened at the resorts' Monorail stations. Guests who arrive via boat or bus will still be screened at the park's entrance.
There are some reports that Pandora - The World of Avatar might open earlier than the May 27 date announced by Disney. These reports have not been confirmed by Disney nor has Disney announced a change in the planned opening date.
And finally, the Bayou Pirate Adventure at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is reportedly ending as of today, March 30.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on today's new round-up. Leave a comment and let us know what you think.

I really feel like these new security points are going to be a good thing. I know at certain times it will be a bit of a bother (hotel hopping now will require security checks in the MK area) however overall I like the increased safety area and it should make lines seem shorter since it will be spread out so much more.
