And just like that Halloween is over and it's all about Christmas and the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort! The jack-o-lanterns have been replaced with garland and toy soldiers, and the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is November 7. Let's check out today's holiday-themed news round-up.
Guests at this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can choose from a variety of commemorative merchandise including apparel, ornaments, limited-edition pins, and even a limited-edition retail MagicBand. There is also a commemorative tee just for Annual Passholders. Merchandise will be available in select locations throughout the Magic Kingdom during the parties.
Disney and ABC are planning to air three holidays specials this season including a "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration" on Thanksgiving night, "The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration" on Christmas morning, and "Disney Parks Presents: A Descendants Magical Holiday Celebration" on Disney Channel on Friday, November 25.
The Magic Kingdom is decked out in its holiday decorations and the Jingle Cruise set sail on November 1 at the Magic Kingdom.
And finally, The Walt Disney Company has launched the 'Share the Joy' campaign with several non-profit organizations including Feeding America, Points of Light, and Toys for Tots.
