Happy Thursday! We're catching up on a lot of Disney news today including the new dining options at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, a second life for American Idol on ABC, and the new exotic Magic Shots at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The construction project has started at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort resulting in the closure of the Old Port Royale Food Court and Shutters (and eventually the Banana Cabana Pool Bar). New dining options for guests include a breakfast and dinner buffet, a food truck, and "island markets" that are located in three of the resort's villages.
Disney is sharing more information ahead of the opening of Pandora - The World of Avatar, including the artistic inspiration behind the look and feel of Pandora in addition to its art. Check out this video where Imagineers talk about their research trips to Bali and Jakarta.
Guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom can check out the new Magic Shots from Disney PhotoPass photographers. Magic Shot images include Simba from The Lion Guard, Kaa from The Jungle Book, and more.
American Idol is returning to television! The musical competition show will air on ABC during the 2017-18 television season. And, auditions for the revamped American Idol will be held at Walt Disney World.
And finally, tennis star Serena Williams recently had a chance to check out Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
