As we head toward the middle of January, things are starting to heat up at the Walt Disney World Resort. This week the first ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts kicks off, and there are more exciting events happening this season around Disney World. Let's check out the latest news.
The Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts Friday, January 13 and runs for six weekends through February 20. Disney has given guests a preview of some of the commemorative merchandise, and Figment plays a starring role on many of the T-shirts.
It might be a bit early, but Disney is already celebrating spring as they welcome new events including the Festival of the Arts in addition to popular long-running events like the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. The Magic Kingdom is celebrating its new welcome show, new projection show, and the return of Disney After Hours. Click here to find out more about what's coming in the next couple of months.
The Pro Bowl is coming to Orlando this year and many events are planned at the Walt Disney World Resort. Fans can vote for Mickey or Goofy to be added to the Pro Bowl roster. Players including Tom Brady, Green Bay Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have been announced for the Pro Bowl.

I really I wish I could make it down for this new festival, I really like the sound of it so far. Maybe in a couple of years when its more robust.

Checked the festival out yesterday. Consisted of food vendors and Art tents. Food was comprised of small tastes ranging from $5 to $10 consistant with each country. Various tents(7 to 10) selling disney inspired artwork(paintings and photography) for quite a hefty sum. The mostly vacant Odessey buliding is somewhat the central hub where food is also sold and speakers and demos happen. The food is tasty all over the festival but unless your an art lover i would say skip this. Very crowded and the art is very expensive unless purchasing a paper reprint.
