Earlier this month, the annual Come Out with Pride Orlando event was held at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, and Disney sponsored a kid's area as part of the company's ongoing commitment to diversity.
In the KidZone area at the event, kids and families had a chance to enjoy face painting and crafts with Disney VoluntEARS.
Come Out with Pride is a multi-day celebration of diversity and culture organized by the Metropolitan Business Association, which is Central Florida's LGBT chamber of commerce. The Walt Disney World Diversity Resource Group PRIDE serves gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and ally cast members.
The president of the PRIDE group, Disney cast member Troy Loutsenhizer, said the event demonstrates Disney's "commitment to welcome and accept everyone" and event attendees are excited to see Disney cast members participating in the Come Out with Pride Orlando event.
