Disney Vacation Account Discontinued, Account Holders Have Options for Funds

The Disney Vacation Account - the online saving account that allowed guests to save money for their upcoming Disney vacations - has been discontinued. Account holders started receiving notification of the closure on Tuesday, with four options for how to withdraw their funds.

Guests who have a current Disney Vacation Account can: (1) use their funds to get a Disney Gift Card and Disney will add 5% to the total; (2) use their funds to book a Disney vacation; (3) do nothing and wait for Disney to issue a full refund after September 27; or (4) request a full refund prior to September 27.

Disney is closing all accounts beginning September 27, and will begin refunding money to guests on that day.

If account holders want to book a Disney World vacation with their fund there is a special offer listed on the Disney Vacation Accounts website.
