Cast members who portray the costumed characters at Disneyland Paris went on strike for the second time this year last week.
The strike stemmed from a conflict over a sexual harassment allegation. A Disneyland Paris spokesperson had this to say about the situation:
The situation was related to fears concerning a cast member who will return to work following disciplinary measures. Resort activity returned to normal on Thursday morning.
Though the cast members have returned to work, their absence did serve to upset the function of the park. Because the workers were those who don the costumes of Disney characters, all of Disneyland Paris' meet and greet experiences were canceled during the strike.
Last week's strike wasn't the first by cast members of Disneyland Paris; cast members also went on strike in March of this year due to a conflict in pay and working conditions.
