Florida weather can be unpredictable, one minute its sunny and the next its pouring down rain. Unfortunately, Disney World is no exception so you should be prepared with an "in case of rain" plan! We've compiled a list of places to escape the weather at Disney World for you.
Eat while it Rains! Grabbing a bit to eat while its raining is a great way to stay dry, kill time, and enjoy some of the delicious eats available in the parks!
Go Shopping! If it starts raining duck into the nearest shop and grab a few souvenirs (or just enjoy browsing!)
Magic Kingdom
Hall of Presidents. The Hall of Presidents show is a great place to escape inclement weather. Even if you don't want to watch the show, the inside waiting area is air-conditioned and has seating so you can wait out the rain (or escape the heat!)
Carousel of Progress. A Disney classic the Carousel of Progress is the perfect place to get out of the rain and enjoy some air conditioning.
Pirates of the Caribbean. The queue for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is completely undercover and air conditioned making it a ride to catch during the rain.
EPCOT
The American Pavilion. Similar to the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom, the American Pavilion has a nice air conditioned waiting area so you can escape the rain. Other World Showcase Pavilions like Canada and France offer great places to wait out the rain.
The Land Pavilion. The Land Pavilion houses attractions, shopping, and dining! During a rainstorm might be a good time to wait in the notoriously long Soarin' line.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion. Catch Turtle Talk with Crush, hop on a "clamobile" for the Seas with Nemo and Friends, explore the aquarium, or eat at the Coral Reef Restaurant while you wait out the weather!
Hollywood Studios
American Idol Experience. The queue for the American Idol Experience is undercover so even if you don't want to step inside for the show you can still stay dry!
The Magic of Disney Animation. Watch the Disney character Mushu (from Mulan) come to life, and attend the Animation Academy and create your own Disney character.
Animal Kingdom
Finding Nemo-The Musical. Finding Nemo is a very popular show at Animal Kingdom so you can be sure that you will entertained while you wait out the downpour outside!
Festival of the Lion King. Like the Finding Nemo-The Musical, Festival of the Lion King is extremely popular and is an entertaining 30 minute show for the whole family.
Other than knowing a few places you can duck into in case of rain it is also a good idea to have a poncho or umbrella with you!
Where do you go to escape the weather? Leave a comment and let me know!

Ellen's Energy Adventure is our go-to rain ride. After the 45 minute show, the quick Florida shower is usually over. Or at MK, it's fun to go on the TTA and watch the scramble below as people run to get out of the rain.

It hasn't rained a lot for my past couple of trips, but I love the idea of doing the TTA in the rain!

Give me a poncho, and shoes that dry quick, and I'll rough it. Well,.. ok,.. sometimes I'll go to the Tomorrow Land Terrace, or The Land (depending on the park), if it's gonna rain a while, and I need a snack. Yep,.. I can always do a snack. :)

Last October it started raining Friday afternoon and ended Sunday morning. The hubby and I went to wal-mart,bought some ponchos and golf umbrellas then headed to downtown disney. We also made the best of things by going swimming in the rain. I mean if you are going to get wet you might as well have fun doing it. There was no one at the pool or in the hot tub. We had quite a few laughs from the comments people made when they saw us. We also explored a few different resorts did some shopping at them. Riding the monorail in the rain was pretty cool as well.

Nikamel - That's awesome! My aunt used to say the same thing about swimming in the rain "since we're going to get wet anyway!"
