Fewer Evening Extra Magic Hours?

Could there be fewer evening Extra Magic Hours on the horizon? A buzz surrounding Walt Disney World says there could be. Rumor has it the evening Extra Magic Hours will be reduced from three to two starting January 1, 2013.

Guests staying at Walt Disney World resorts can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, a time when select parks are open before or after public operating times - usually one hour in the mornings and three hours in the evenings.

Of course, this news is sketchy at this time. Only the release of the official park calendars will tell if indeed the evening Extra Magic Hours will be lessened.

Anytime an attraction is closed it's a bit disappointing. Hoping Test Track opens a little early - by the first week of October!! But, even if it isn't we plan to have a great time.

It would be nice if they stayed open a bit later for adults only.

I hope it's only a rumor. I never go to the early hours and in some cases the night hours are the only time you can get on certain rides. I went during the so called slow season and couldn't get near Soarin' during regular hours. Of all things to it corners on, why that?
