While we don't know much about Disney's Tomorrowland - other than it likely has nothing to do with the actual Tomorrowland - we can tell you that filming has started in Vancouver on the mystery/adventure film.
The film stars two-time Academy Award winner George Clooney (Syriana), along with Hugh Laurie (House), Britt Robertson (Under The Dome), Raffey Cassidy (Snow White and the Huntsman), and Thomas Roberston (The Switch).
The plot of the movie remains shrouded in mystery, but the studio provided this description: Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.
Based on casting, it's probably safe to assume that Clooney is the jaded former boy-genius inventor and Robertson is the bright, optimistic teen.
The film is being directed, produced, and co-written by two-time Academy Award winner Brad Bird (The Incredibles). The screenplay - written by Bird and Lindelof - is from a story by Lindelof, Bird, and Jeff Jensen. Damon Lindelof (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Jeffrey Chernov (Star Trek Into Darkness) are also producers.
Tomorrowland will be released on December 12, 2014 by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
