Four Magic Kingdom Table Service Restaurants to Begin Serving Alcohol Next Week

Four Magic Kingdom table service locations will join Be Our Guest and begin serving wine and beer next week. The restaurants are: Tony's Town Square, Cinderella's Royal Table, Skipper Canteen, and Liberty Tree Tavern.

The restaurants will be serving beers and wines that go with the themeing of the menu. Tony's Town Square will serve Italian wines and beer; Cinderella's Royal Table will offer sparkling wines and champagne; Liberty Tree Tavern will serve American products including lagers, ciders, and domestic wines; and Skipper Canteen will feature wines and beers from around the world.

This change in menu might be surprising to some given that Walt Disney did not want alcohol served in the Magic Kingdom (and Disneyland is still a "dry" park). That policy changed several years ago when Be Our Guest became the first Magic Kingdom restaurant to offer beer and wines.

Disney says these restaurants will only serve beer and wine during lunch and dinner hours. Alcohol will not be sold at any kiosks in the park.

What are your thoughts on this change at the Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments.

So long as Guests aren't overserved, which has been a problem at the Food and Wine Expo, it's a great idea. Several cultures--especially in Europe--don't consider a lunch or dinner complete without wine, beer, etc.
