Groovy Lineup Announced for Flower Power Concert Series at Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The Flower Power Concert Series during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is once again going to get guests grooving to the sweet sounds of the '60s and '70s.

March 7 is the first date for the Flower Power Concert Series and this year's lineup inculdes two new acts: Gary Lewis and The Playboys (This Diamond Ring) and Alan Parson Live Project (Eye in the Sky).

The Flower Power Concert Series is performed at America Gardens Theater at 5:30, 6:45, and 8 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Flower & Garden Festival.

The lineup for this year's concert series is:

  • March 7-9: The Guess Who
  • March14-16: Gary Lewis and The Playboys
  • March 21-23: The Orchestra starring former members of ELO
  • March 28-30: The Lovin' Spoonful
  • April 4-6: Paul Revere & The Raiders
  • April 11-13 : Village People
  • April 18-20 : The Grass Roots
  • April 25-27 : Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone
  • May 2-5: Starship starring Mickey Thomas
  • May 9-11: Chubby Checker & The Wildcats
  • May 16-18 : Alan Parsons Live Project

Admission to the Flower Power Concerts is included with Epcot admission.

I do enjoy the concerts, but why is all the music "pop" from about 40-50 years ago? Can't we have some progressive rock, or something more contemporary? Maybe in one of the other parks? Not a suggestion, just a question.

I know that you can't take suggestions from someone outside of Disney, so I won't even suggest a classical orchestra or kereoke night.

They never feature contemporary artists. About 6 or7 years ago Blake Shelton was in the fall series. He is now a country mega star and a very active on tv
