James Cameron recently gave fans a little insight into the Avatar-inspired land being built at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
In response to a fan's question about the park expansion that will take guests into Pandora, Cameron said the area was going to be "completely spectacular" and it will be a "very magical experience to just be there and walk around."
The Academy Award-winning director was participating in an "Ask Me Anything" session on Reddit.
Cameron also said he wasn't sure how much Disney wanted him to say about specific rides. He also noted that he's "sad" the Avatar land will be in Florida because he "won't be able to get to it a lot."
Ground was broken in January on the new Avatar-inspired land.
The Avatar land will bring the world of Pandora to life and guests will encounter floating mountains, have a chance to walk through a nighttime jungle of bioluminescent plants, and discover what it feels like to ride a Banshee.
The new Avatar area is scheduled to open in 2017, and will be the largest expansion in Animal Kingdom history.

I know that this expansion isn't popular. However since it's clearly moving ahead I'm putting my trust in Disney to make it amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing some fun new attractions and shows at Animal Kingdom.
